Meet the Trainer

I was 20 when I first started training. At the time I had chronic asthma and exercise was a major trigger. I regarded exercise as a foe rather than a friend. I remember walking into the gym with a friend who gave me a guided tour. I remember feeling apprehensive and nervous about what was about to proceed. After the guided tour my friend got onto a piece of cardio vascular equipment called a power walker. I stepped onto the one along side him and did six minutes of very moderate cardio-vascular exercise before having an asthma attack, and having to stop. This was my wake-up call!

From that day on I decided that I was not going to let my asthma hold me back. Slowly but surely I have progressed and now at 34 I feel fitter and stronger than I ever thought I would be. I have achieved things that I have never thought possible from running 10km in 40 minutes to being able to do 100 press ups without stopping, or even running my first marathon. I know how it feels to struggle with exercise and have also felt the benefits that are felt when it is done properly. I am not a natural athlete and have had to work hard to achieve my goals – so I know what it takes to get there!

I now love sports and have a keen interest in all aspects of exercise. I practice what I preach and will never give a client an exercise that I haven’t tried on myself. By catering an exercise to your needs, I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.  I love a challenge and believe that with a hard work anything is possible!

For me fitness is so much more than just being active. It gives me a sense of well-being and provides me with a unique independence that allows me to do things I never thought possible. It also helps me sleep well, breathe easier, live longer, be stronger, be happier and so much more. My ambition is to share this with you.
